Sat., Sept. 10 - Yard Sale

UPDATE

We had a successful yard sale on the 10th - thank you to all those that supported the effort by donating items and/or time during set-up/the sale itself/clean-up. Like all successful endeavors, it takes a team to make it work.

This year we netted nearly $350 to support the Cub Scout Pack for the upcoming year. The balance of expenses throughout the year will be made up through popcorn sales and direct payments from families.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cub Scout Pack 151 will once again participate in West Boylston's town-wide yard sale.
Here are the details:

Friday, September 9
After 5:00 p.m.
Staging of items to be sold
Fellowship Hall (basement) of First Congregational Church (26 Central Street, West Boylston)

Saturday, September 10, 2016
7:30 a.m. Set-up
Pull all items out of fellowship hall and line along front side of church parking spaces. Try to put like items together as much as possible.
9:00 a.m. Official start of yard sales town-wide (though from experience we know that some shoppers will arrive earlier)
The process we used for "selling" at last year's event which seemed to work well was to simply ask shoppers for a donation to the Cub Scout Pack in exchange for the items they desired. Items not taken at the end of the sale will be donated to a local charity like the Epilepsy Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters or the like.
4:00 p.m. Official end of yard sales town-wide (clean-up may start earlier depending on shopper traffic)
Clean-up will involve removal and transportation of all items to a designated location for pick-up by one of the aforementioned charities.
6:00 p.m. Estimated time to be finished cleaning up

This fundraiser helped to subsidize many of the awards and other expenses throughout the year - your help in making it a success is important! Thank you for being a part of it.

Please let me know which area(s) you are able to help out with (set-up, sale, clean-up). Any help is appreciated.
